Agenda available for June 1 City Council & SUA meetings

MEDIA RELEASE

(STILLWATER, OKLAHOMA / May 28, 2020) – Stillwater City Council and Stillwater Utilities Authority will meet over videoconference for a regular meeting this Monday, June 1.

The meeting will be held entirely over Zoom, a videoconference platform. Residents should watch virtually— there will be no meeting on-site at the Stillwater Municipal Building.

Stillwater City Council

General Orders

  • j. Approval of budget amendment reflecting receipt of $1,112,414 in federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act Airport Relief Funding 
  • m. COVID-19 update: Payne County Health Department contact tracing and testing, communication plan among the City, OSU and the Payne County Health Department, and discontinuation of videoconference meetings and return to adopted meeting schedule

Resolutions

  • CC-20-11: A resolution authorizing longer term payment plans for utility services; approving reinstatement of cut-off notifications and resuming disconnections beginning June 2, 2020 and reinstating the 10% penalty on delinquent accounts effective July 6, 2020

Resolutions

  • SUA-2020-3: A resolution adopted an electric rate for electric vehicle charging station service
  • SUA-202-4: A resolution authorizing longer term payment plans for utility services; approving reinstatement of cut-off notifications and resuming disconnections beginning June 2, 2020 and reinstating the 10% penalty on delinquent accounts effective July 6, 2020
  • SUA-2020-5: A resolution amending the City of Stillwater Convenience Collection Center rate structure

These meetings will begin at 5:30 p.m. and will be broadcast as usual. Residents can watch the meeting live on the City's Facebook Page (@CityOfStillwater), AT&T U-verse channel 99, Suddenlink channel 14 and the City of Stillwater’s YouTube Live link at youtube.com/c/CityofStillwaterTV/live.

If you'd like to speak at this meeting, fill out the request to speak form at stillwater.org/requesttospeak. Residents who have requested to speak will be contacted with the appropriate login information needed to participate through videoconference. For those wishing to speak via teleconferencing, please provide a phone number and someone will call you before the public comments portion of the agenda to place you in a queue. Requests to speak must be submitted by 3 p.m. on the day of the meeting.

In response to the COVID-19 virus and the ongoing social distancing guidance issued by President Trump, Governor Stitt, and national and state public health entities, amendments were made to the Open Meetings Act that allow for public bodies subject to the Open Meetings Act to hold “virtual meetings” via videoconference and teleconference.
