Application available: permit to extend outdoor service areas

UPDATE

(STILLWATER, OKLAHOMA / August 21, 2020) – Applications are now available for permits to temporarily extend outdoor service areas for restaurants and bars. This option comes as part of a new emergency proclamation to authorize the temporary use of certain public ways as a way for businesses to operate effectively yet safely under COVID-19 restrictions.

Starting tomorrow: restaurants and bars can apply to extend their outdoor service areas?

MEDIA RELEASE

(STILLWATER, OKLAHOMA / August 20, 2020) –   Starting tomorrow, Stillwater bars and restaurants can apply for a temporary outdoor expansion permit to extend service to outdoor areas such as sidewalks, on-street parking, or private parking lots. Mayor Will Joyce signed a proclamation today authorizing the temporary use of certain public ways as a way for businesses to operate effectively yet safely under COVID-19 restrictions.

Eligibility, application requirements and operation requirements are outlined in the August 20 proclamation. The City will post an application Friday, Aug. 21.
