Stillwater Electric Utility responds to a power outage (August 22, 2020)

MEDIA RELEASE

(STILLWATER, OKLAHOMA / August 25, 2020) – Stillwater Electric Utility responded to a power outage.

Outage

At approximately 05:00 a.m. on August 22, 2020 an equipment failure caused a fault that de-energized Transformer 1 at Central substation. Electric crews responded to isolate the fault and re-energize the transformer. Approximately 2965 customers were affected. Restoration was complete at approximately 05:53 a.m. Total outage time approximately 53 minutes.
