(STILLWATER, OKLAHOMA / Sept. 15, 2020) – Stillwater City Council, Stillwater Utilities Authority and Stillwater Economic Development Authority met for regular meetings Monday, Sept. 14 over a public videoconference. General Orders

b. Approved budget amendment reflecting receipt by Stillwater Police Department of $39,498 in Department of Justice grant funds for purchase of equipment for use in the pandemic response

e. Received progress update and time line for design development and ordinance creation for the Temporary Outdoor Expansion Areas (Streateries/Parklets)

Adopted resolution 2020-18: A resolution concerning funding pursuant to the CARES Act and the Coronavirus Relief Fund, confirming that it is the policy of the City Council of the City of Stillwater that all public safety personnel costs are "substantially dedicated" to the COVID-19 response efforts of the City of Stillwater throughout the ongoing State of Emergency

Agenda available for Sept. 14 City Council, SUA & SEDA meetings

MEDIA RELEASE

(STILLWATER, OKLAHOMA / September 10, 2020) – Stillwater City Council, Stillwater Utilities Authority (SUA) and Stillwater Economic Development Authority (SEDA) will meet over videoconference for special meetings Monday, Sept. 14.

The meeting will be held over Zoom, a videoconference platform. Residents are encouraged to watch virtually, though the Council Hearing Room at the Stillwater Municipal Building (723 S. Lewis St.) will be open to the public. Face coverings are required in the Council Hearing Room and will be provided to residents upon entry.

The meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. and will be broadcast as usual. Residents can watch the meeting live on the City's Facebook Page (@CityOfStillwater), AT&T U-verse channel 99, Suddenlink channel 14 and the City of Stillwater’s YouTube Live link at youtube.com/c/CityofStillwaterTV/live.

If you'd like to speak at this meeting, fill out the request to speak form at stillwater.org/requesttospeak. Residents who have requested to speak will be contacted with the appropriate login information needed to participate through videoconference. For those wishing to speak via teleconferencing, please provide a phone number and someone will call you before the public comments portion of the agenda to place you in a queue. Requests to speak must be submitted by 3 p.m. on the day of the meeting.

In response to the COVID-19 virus and the ongoing social distancing guidance issued by President Trump, Governor Stitt, and national and state public health entities, amendments were made to the Open Meetings Act that allow for public bodies subject to the Open Meetings Act to hold “virtual meetings” via videoconference and teleconference.
