Agenda available for Oct. 19 City Council, SUA & SEDA meetings

(STILLWATER, OKLAHOMA / October 15, 2020) – Stillwater City Council, Stillwater Utilities Authority (SUA) and Stillwater Economic Development Authority will meet over videoconference for special meetings Monday, Oct. 19.

The meeting will be held over Zoom, a videoconference platform. Residents are encouraged to watch virtually, though the Council Hearing Room at the Stillwater Municipal Building (723 S. Lewis St.) will be open to the public. Face coverings are required in the Council Hearing Room and will be provided to residents upon entry.

f. Approve budget amendment allocating funds for a Chamber of Commerce and City of Stillwater small business grants program, contingent upon the 
adoption of Resolution CC-2020-22, which authorizes the retention of excess transfer in the General Fund for specific projects 

g. COVID-19 update


  • Resolution 2020-20: resolution authorizing the mayor of the City of Stillwater, Oklahoma, a municipal corporation, to sign and issue an Election proclamation calling for a general election and a runoff Election, if needed, in the City of Stillwater.
  • Resolution 2020-21: a resolution authorizing the creation of a grant program to assist small businesses with covid-19 impacts

a. Approve development agreement between Stillwater Economic Development Authority and Everyman, LLC, and approve the associated budget amendments

Requests to speak must be submitted by 3 p.m. on the day of the meeting.

In response to the COVID-19 virus and the ongoing social distancing guidance issued by President Trump, Governor Stitt, and national and state public health entities, amendments were made to the Open Meetings Act that allow for public bodies subject to the Open Meetings Act to hold “virtual meetings” via videoconference and teleconference.
