Agenda Available for Nov. 2 City Council, SUA & SEDA meetings

MEDIA RELEASE

(STILLWATER, OKLAHOMA / October 29, 2020) – Stillwater City Council, Stillwater Utilities Authority and Stillwater Economic Development Authority will meet over videoconference for special meetings Monday, Nov. 2.

The meeting will be held over Zoom, a videoconference platform. Residents are encouraged to watch virtually, though the Council Hearing Room at the Stillwater Municipal Building (723 S. Lewis St.) will be open to the public. Face coverings are required in the Council Hearing Room and will be provided to residents upon entry.

Stillwater City Council

General Orders

a. Approve professional services agreement between City of Stillwater and Mead and Hunt to complete a Master Plan Update for the Stillwater Regional Airport

C. Approve bid recommendation to construct a 6 foot sidewalk along the north side of 6th Avenue from Kings Street to Orchard Street

Resolutions

  • Ordinance 3459: an ordinance amending the stillwater city code by amending chapter 37, streets, sidewalks and other public places, article ill, utility cuts and driveways, division 2, licensing, permitting, insurance and indemnification, to amend section 37-101, standard permit conditions 

Stillwater Utilities Authority

General Orders

a. Approve Stillwater Utilities Authority annual financial report for fiscal year ended June 30, 2020 

b. Presentation by LM Vedder Consulting on distributed generation (No action will be taken on this item) 

Stillwater Economic Development Authority

a. Chamber of Commerce Economic Development Quarterly Report

The meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. and will be broadcast as usual. Residents can watch the meeting live on the City's Facebook Page (@CityOfStillwater), AT&T U-verse channel 99, Suddenlink channel 14 and the City of Stillwater’s YouTube Live link at youtube.com/c/CityofStillwaterTV/live.

If you'd like to speak at this meeting, fill out the request to speak form at stillwater.org/requesttospeak. Residents who have requested to speak will be contacted with the appropriate login information needed to participate through videoconference. For those wishing to speak via teleconferencing, please provide a phone number and someone will call you before the public comments portion of the agenda to place you in a queue. Requests to speak must be submitted by 3 p.m. on the day of the meeting.

In response to the COVID-19 virus and the ongoing social distancing guidance issued by President Trump, Governor Stitt, and national and state public health entities, amendments were made to the Open Meetings Act that allow for public bodies subject to the Open Meetings Act to hold “virtual meetings” via videoconference and teleconference.
