What We're Doing

This water line work is part of a larger transportation project to improve Western Road, Hall of Fame and the intersection of McElroy Road and Boomer Road. Before the intersection can be reconstructed, necessary water line improvements are needed for improved operation of our drinking water distribution system.

Benefits of the Project

The water line replacement will increase reliability and improve water quality to multiple businesses along Boomer Road and Main Street.

Project Management


Updates

November 4, 2019: Construction for the Pavement Management Project was awarded to Lopp Construction Co. 

May 12, 2020: City staff held a pre-construction meeting with Lopp and their subcontractor, Downey Contracting to discuss the water line work. 

May 29, 2020: Downey Contracting has begun construction of the water line across the west side of McElroy Road. 

June 24, 2020: Downey Contracting is installing the new water line across Main Street. 

July 14, 2020: Work on the water line continues at the southwest corner of the intersection. 

August 21, 2020: The water line is complete and the paving contractor, Lopp, continues to finish work at the intersection for the Transportation Department.
