The City of Stillwater and Stillwater Utilities Authority is evaluating the feasibility of eliminating up to eight sewer lift stations by building new gravity sewer interceptors, as recommended in the City's Master Plan.
Eliminating lift stations reduces the maintenance costs associated with each lift station and reduces or eliminates odor problems that typically occur near lift stations. Additionally, the new interceptors could provide access to the City's sewer gravity system for new developments in the western regions of the City.
