Water Utilities Department

The Water Utilities Department is responsible for providing safe, reliable drinking water to the City of Stillwater, and several surrounding rural water districts, and for the proper treatment and return of all received wastewater to the natural waterways.

The City of Stillwater is a utility member of the American Water Works Association (AWWA). The AWWA is the largest nonprofit, scientific and educational association dedicated to management and treatment of water. The association creates products, services and information that help utilities inform the public, safeguard public health, improve day-to-day operations, protect the environment, strengthen the economy and enhance our quality of life.


Divisions:

  • Water Treatment: Responsible for operation and maintenance of the Kaw pump station, raw water pipeline, water treatment plant, booster pump stations and treated water storage tanks. 

  • Wastewater Treatment: Responsible for the operation and maintenance of the lift stations, the wastewater treatment plant and the management of all liquid and solid effluent streams.
