Grants

Grants

The City of Stillwater works primarily to obtain funding for the betterment of Stillwater. By applying for both entitlement and competitive grants and by collaborating with other entities we can better ensure the interests of all citizens are considered, and we are able to stretch the available resources as much as possible.

Most grants we receive require a match ranging from 10 to 50 percent and can be used for repair and replacement of aging infrastructure, protecting our environment, promoting the health and welfare of our citizens, and improving the quality of life in Stillwater.

Grants often have specifications and use that are pre-determined. For example, some fund green or low-emission projects; some serve low- to moderate-income persons or children; others are earmarked for fire or police safety equipment.

One annual grant that the City seeks is the Community Development Block Grant.
