Investment Program

The City of Stillwater, like other cities, counties, school districts and other government entities, may adopt written investment policies directing the investment of the funds of the city and any of its public trusts or authorities.

The written policy focuses on safety, liquidity, diversification and yield. It may also include a provision for use of a system of competitive bidding in the investment of municipal funds. Municipal funds cannot be invested in the stock market.
